Maka'eo Walking Path is a nicely paved, 0.7 mile loop trail at the Old Kona Airport State Recreation Area. Admission is free and parking is plentiful. As you walk along this track, you will pass a myriad of garden plots. Each little garden is unique because it is maintained by a different volunteer from the community. While all the plots are lovely, the cacti and succulent plants really steal the show. Come check out these amazing and beautiful specimens and enjoy all the charm this special place has to offer!
