The wee Folk used to number in the 1000's here. But due to habitat loss their numbers have waned. While not extinct, they are extant in many nearby areas.
In the spring they are awakened from the ground where they subsisted on various cicada species (cicadas species come out to mate in various prime number of years depending on species (they can do maths!)
When the strong aroma of bush honeysuckle draws them into the trees. The Wee Folk gather in small hidden glens to perform mating rituals.
They then dine on (as I write) the black locust blossoms (pictured), know as Tilia a somnifacient. Thence they become tired and return to the ground leaving behind a few that have over-indulged in merry making.
What you seek is the elder leader of the Box clan. Keen eyes required
