Cache In Trash Out® (CITO)
Big things are happening in the geocaching community in 2025! What better way to give back to your community than by attending a Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) Event?
Every bag of trash collected, tree planted, or CITO project completed counts towards our goal to leave the global geocaching gameboard better than we found it. Since 2002, more than 770,000 geocachers have attended over 43,000 CITO Events across 152 countries, helping improve the outdoors through habitat restoration, trash removal, and other public service projects.
This is a chance to get to a CITO event while celebrating the CITO Season 1 2025. Come along and help clean up along the Georges River near Captain Cook Bridge, Taren Point. This will be a traditional clean-up event where we’ll clean up rubbish.
By attending this CITO Event, you will be rewarded with the CITO Season 1 souvenir.

In the spirit of reconciliation I would like to acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
What is a CITO event?

Cache In Trash Out® events bring geocachers together to care for the geocaching game board: planet Earth. CITO events might focus on tree planting, litter pick up, or even habitat restoration. They’re a chance for geocachers to give back to their local spaces and communities.
