Geocache Description:

Estimating a tree's age can be done using a few methods, including measuring its trunk circumference and then using a growth factor specific to the tree species.

This is known as the tree's circumference at breast heigth

Divide the circumference by pi

Multiply the DBH by the growth factor to get an approximate age,

Look up the growth factor for the specific tree species. (it's 5 for this poor guy, dang emerald ash bores!.
