Walking Fern Hotel Traditional Cache
res2100: This cache is now being archived, as it has been replaced by the Walking Fern Resort cache. Thank you to all those who have visited this cache and contributed to it. It was definately my favorite one in a beautiful area. All surviving guests have been moved to the Walking Fern Resort.

The Travel Bugs are meeting at the Walking Fern Hotel for their annual Christmas conference. Since they are all really stuck up and snobbish due to their elite status, they do not drive themselves, so they need a chauffeur to drive them to their next destination.
The executive parking lot can be found at N 43° 42.584 W 079° 57.773. The Walking Fern Hotel is just slightly past the end of a very rocky 1km trail (well my GPS says it's only 0.8km away, so obviously the management is trying to keep away the undesirables).
When the Walking Fern Hotel was built, the first 6 guests attending the Travel Bug conference were as follows:
Myrtle the Moose - He is in a hurry to get to the Grand Canyon for a very important Travel Bug meeting.
Stretch Monkey - He took time off to attend this very important conferance and needs to get back to his home town of Guelph urgently.
SANTA TEDDY - He is all ready now to deliver his presents to all the young children that only got a lump of coal for Christmas.
Hunny - She just wants to curl up by someone's fire during these cold winter months.
Round Tuit Traveler #2 - He is probably the most powerful and influential Travel Bug at this conference and would like to share his powers with someone gifted.
Incognito Travel Bug - He needs to visit all of the caches in the world to inspect them and make sure that they are up to his standards and worthy for other Travel Bugs to visit.
It also contained a new plastic pencil holder and a GE card.
The Hotel is an old metal cookie tin wrapped in 2 plastic bags. Please bring a plastic bag with you incase either of the current 2 plastic bagged become ripped or ruined and need to be replaced. Please re-hide the cache well.
Please only take 1 Travel Bug with you, as they do not like to share rides with their fellow travel bugs (although you may log them all if you like, just log them as being put back into this cache). This will also give other cachers the chance to find them and share their stories with them...it's only fair. Please leave other items in the cache so there is something there to find when all the travel bugs have departed. I am sure you will enjoy this trail as much as we did.
