Gleichmal vorweg: die Letterbox ist ein eigenes kleines Rätsel, kann aber komplett OHNE WERKZEUG und OHNE GEWALT geöffnet werden.

Ein kleines Wäldchen, einen Katzensprung von der Salzburger Altstadt entfernt, lädt zum Verweilen ein und inspiriert vielleicht zum Schreiben einer Postkarte oder eines Briefes.

Gut, dass es hier am Bürglstein ein Postamt gibt, allerdings ausschließlich als SB-Bereich.

Bevor du dich in den Wald begibst besorge dir eine Postkarte und eine Briefmarke. In der Letterbox findest du möglicherweise eine schon frankierte Postkarte der VorloggerInnen. Lege deine frankierte Postkarte in das Logbuch und nimm die Post des anderen mit, schreibe ein paar nette Zeilen an die MitcacherInnen und wirf sie in einen öffentlichen Briefkasten in der Stadt.

Mit etwas Geduld erhältst du nach einiger Zeit auch Post aus Salzburg.

Die Tür des Forest Post Office ist 24h am Tag geöffnet. Vorsicht ist bei Nacht und Schnee geboten!
Die Letterbox ist an einer einfach zu erreichenden Stelle, man muss sich nicht an irgendwelchen Hängen in Gefahr begeben.

Aber, was wäre ein Postamt ohne Stempel? Er ist dazu da euer eigenes Letterbox-Buch zu stempeln. Der Stempel und das Stempelkissen verbleiben bitte im Postamt!

Für die Postkarten gibt es einen eigenen Ziploc Beutel in dem auch Platz für TBs ist.

First things first: the letterbox is a little puzzle of its own, but it can be opened completely WITHOUT TOOLS and WITHOUT FORCE.

A small wooded area, just a stone's throw from Salzburg’s Old Town, invites you to linger and might even inspire you to write a postcard or a letter.
It’s a good thing there’s a post office here at Bürglstein – though it operates entirely as a self-service area.

Before you head into the forest, make sure to bring a postcard and a stamp. You might find a pre-stamped postcard left by previous visitors in the letterbox. Place your own stamped postcard in the logbook, take someone else's mail with you, write a few kind words to fellow cachers, and drop it in a public mailbox in the city.
With a bit of patience, you might receive some mail from Salzburg in return after a while.

The door to the Forest Post Office is open 24 hours a day. Caution is advised at night and in snowy conditions!
The letterbox is located in an easily accessible spot – there’s no need to put yourself at risk on steep slopes.

But what would a post office be without a stamp? It's there for you to stamp your personal letterbox journal. Please leave the stamp and ink pad at the post office!

There is a separate Ziploc bag for the postcards, which also has space for travel bugs.
