Geocache Description:

Black Head separates St Austell Bay from Mevagissey Bay. The cache is at the extreme end of the headland.

Parking is available at N50 18.474 W 004 45.845, or rather nearer the cache, but along a potholed lane at N50 18.357 W 004 45.683. The most direct path to the headland starts at N 50 18.289 W004 45.681 and may be very muddy. On the headland itself is an disused rifle range and a defensive ditch dating from the iron age. The cache itself is some 70 yards beyond the top of the hill and small children should not be taken beyond this point. The cache is a small lock & lock box and contains a couple of items of fishing gear and two key rings.

I have fished from the rocks below the cache in the past. Mackeral, Pollack, Wrasse and Conger are all there to be caught if you bring you fishing gear with you.
