This is a bit of an out of the ordinary event. Come pay tribute to the late artist, Andy Warhol, as we gather to celebrate his birthday. Every year dozens of people show up to wish him a happy birthday and sometimes there is even cake.

Andy Warhol was born on this date in 1928 and the first year that the cache event was held, when we arrived for our flashmob, we found a party already underway!! We had so much fun celebrating his birthday with the regulars, and they loved that we were there and they invited us back. Cachers have been joining in the celebration since 2014, even during years that no event cache got posted!

So, let us all meet at his marker around 5:30pm. We will mingle around until at least 7 taking group pictures every 30 minutes or so. Feel free to bring a birthday party snack, beverage or party favors to share with others, but this is not required. I will have a bin of plates and utensils in the car in case they are needed. This is in a cemetery and there is parking coser to the marker, but please reserve those spots for those that need them. if you do park along the drive, please make sure you are over enough so that cars can get by.
Because this is a party with cachers and muggles, I challenge you all to wear something that says you're a geocacher without you having to say you are a geocacher!! The crazier the better. There will be a prize given to the best by vote...and one for the person who traveled the farthest from their home coordinates too!!
HEADS UP: there is a live webcam on Andy's grave and it has sound.
