Willkommen oberhalb von Vals – beim Ifang
Geniesse eine eindrucksvolle Aussicht an einem besonderen Ort in den Bündner Alpen!
Dieser Cache liegt unweit der Leisalp, einer kleinen, aussichtsreichen Alp auf etwa 2.050 m ü. M.
📦 Der Cache
Die Dose ist in einem Spalt eines eindrucksvollen Felsens versteckt – in der Nähe des sogenannten Ifang, einem markanten Viehsammelplatz.
Spoilerbilder könnten beim Auffinden des Caches hilfreich sein. Der Handyempfang ist eher dürftig.

Neben viel Stein und Wasser erwartet dich hier eine atemberaubende Flora und Fauna, wie sie typisch für die Alpen rund um Vals ist. Auf dem Weg zur Dose wirst du unweigerlich von dieser natürlichen Vielfalt begleitet – ein Kleinod für Naturfreunde!
🥾 Dein Weg zur Dose – du hast die Wahl
Kurz & knackig
Ein schneller Zustieg bringt dich nach etwa 1 km Fussmarsch direkt zur Dose. Ideal, wenn du wenig Zeit hast – oder die Höhenluft auf über 2000 m.ü.M. dir bereits den Atem raubt. ca. 20 Minuten
Lang & lohnend
Wer die volle Wanderung liebt, startet direkt im Dorf Vals. Plane rund 3 Stunden Gehzeit ein. Dafür wirst du mit abwechslungsreicher Landschaft, echten Bergerlebnissen und spektakulären Ausblicken belohnt.
Die Mischung
Wer mag, kann auch von Gadastatt aus starten – erreichbar mit der Gondelbahn (gratis)/Fahrzeiten je nach Saison beachten. Von dort aus benötigst du ca. 1:15 Stunden

Mai bis Oktober, je nach Schneelage.
Im Winter ist das Gelände unter Umständen nicht begehbar.

Welcome above Vals – at the Ifang
Enjoy an impressive view from a special spot in the Grisons Alps!
This cache is located not far from Leisalp, a small scenic alp at around 2,050 m a.s.l.
📦 The Cache
The container is hidden in a crevice of an impressive rock – near the so-called Ifang, a distinctive terrain feature. Cattle sometimes gather here – a place full of character, history, and breathtaking views!
Spoiler images might be helpful for finding the cache. Mobile signal is rather weak.
🌿 Pure Nature
Alongside lots of rock and water, you'll find stunning flora and fauna, typical of the Alpine region around Vals. On your way to the cache, you’ll be accompanied by this natural variety – a true treat for nature lovers!
🥾 Your Way to the Cache – You Have Options
Short & Sweet
A quick access route brings you to the cache after about 1 km on foot. Ideal if you're short on time – or already feeling the altitude. Approx. 20 minutes
Long & Rewarding
If you enjoy a full hike, start from the village of Vals. Plan for about 3 hours of walking. You’ll be rewarded with varied landscapes, real mountain experiences, and spectacular views.
The Middle Way
You can also start from Gadastatt – accessible via gondola (free of charge). From there, it takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

May to October, depending on snow conditions.
In winter, the area may not be accessible.
