You are looking for an ammo can placed alongside a grade that was built by the Las Vegas & Tonopah Railroad in 1906. This line ran from Goldfield through Beatty to Las Vegas, and was in use until late 1920s. The Bullfrog Goldfield Railroad also crossed the highway near here - about 1 mile south. This is a companion cache to our "Where the Railroad Crossed the Highway, T&G RR 1" cache in Goldfield - that one was on the former Tonopah & Goldfield Railroad.
NOTE: It is much safer to search for this cache if you are *Northbound* on U.S. Highway 95. If you are Southbound, be extremely careful crossing the highway here - or better, park on the east side of the highway.
