Walking DIP
July 2017 - stopped by and did some maintenance on the cache earlier this year including adding a CHIRP to the cache. Note that you now have to park out at the county roads and walk in a little further. The area now has lots of fun seekers on two wheels on the trails. July 2010 - much has changed since the cache started 8 years ago. This is now an active snowmobile and ATV area. Keep your eyes open on the trail. Still best to cross the creek but long rubber boots are required. Original description: This cache is a nice walk in a re-forestation area with your pet fido. We parked at N44 14.891 by W79 48.148, let Dip (our dog) go, and walked in along the roads for most of it. The cache, Walking Dip, is named after our 6 year old hound who we walk in this forest often. The cache itself is reasonably well hid and you will need to enter at least one steep sided cully to access the cache. We crossed the creek/river as well (there are salmon in there earlier in the fall) The cache was installed today with - GeoCache notice - log book - pencil (above 3 in plastic bag) - an un-opened/un-assembled "KinderEgg" surprise - a purple mini squirt gun - a special pine cone christmas ornament Have fun finding the cache and Merry Christmas!
