THE TOWER: Entre Ruínas e Sombras

Durante a ultima visita pelo sotavento Algarvio numa das saídas da A22 dei de caras com uma imponente Urbex. Antes de regressar a casa não perdi a oportunidade de visitar o local misterioso.

Pelo que consegui pesquisar, trata-se de uma fábrica de cal abandonada que pertenceria ao grupo Champalimaud.

Sempre senti  algum fascínio em visitar estes locais abandonados e fotografar os seus recantos misteriosos e  apreciar os graffitis que já vão sendo mais que habituais nestes locais. 

A imponente torre do complexo com sua escadaria circular e sua perspetiva interior foram a inspiração para decidir colocar uma geocache desafiante no topo da torre...depois de a visitar e sentir um misto de medo e adrenalina e uma satisfação enorme ao conquistar o ponto mais alto.

A cache e Recomendações

Trata-se de uma cache de terreno 4,5 pelo que requer alguma agilidade e não ter medo de alturas

Se não se sentir seguro ou confiante, não coloque a sua segurança em risco 

Evitar fazer a cache de noite e em dias de vento e chuva

Fazer a cache acompanhado com mais alguém

During my last visit to the Algarve's Sotavento region, at one of the exits from the A22 I came across an imposing Urbex. Before returning home I didn't miss the opportunity to visit the mysterious place.
From what I was able to research, it was an abandoned lime factory that belonged to the Champalimaud group.
I have always been fascinated by visiting these abandoned places and photographing their mysterious corners and appreciating the graffiti that has become more than common in these places.
The imposing tower of the complex with its circular staircase and its interior perspective were the inspiration for deciding to place a challenging geocache at the top of the tower...after visiting it and feeling a mixture of fear and adrenaline and enormous satisfaction upon reaching the highest point.

Cache and Recommendations

This is a 4.5 terrain cache so it requires some agility and not being afraid of heights.
If you don't feel safe or confident, don't put your safety at risk.
Avoid caching at night and on windy and rainy days
Cache with someone else
