Arbores Possidebunt Terram Cache
If I was the supreme ur-being of this universe, I would ensure that trees inherited the Earth. There would be a great culling of the animal kingdom, sparing only those creatures who benefit trees.
Why? Let's face it, the predator vs. prey existence of animals is grim and gory. And humans, the alpha animals, are guilty of countless horrors, foremost among them the reality TV series Real Housewives in all its unbearable permutations. For this crime alone, I would let humankind die out and make trees, nature’s most majestic and serene organisms, the most dominant lifeforms on Planet Earth.
OK, the real point of this geocache is to get you to look at this awesome tree (see Photo). The geocache itself is at a nearby location which offers you a wonder-inducing perspective on this tree of exceptional awesomeness. As you gaze upward at a lifeform far superior to yourself, ponder this inevitable truth: when nature reduces the omega generation of humanity to elemental molecules, trees will inherit the Earth.
