This geocache is located near the church of St. Peter and Paul in the village of Podmocani, in the Prespa region of Macedonia.
Situated on a hill known as Podmochanska Gorica, the church overlooks Lake Prespa and offers stunning panoramic views.
While you're here, don't miss the unique private Ethnological Museum located just a short walk from the church.
It houses over 3,000 traditional Macedonian items – including folk costumes, jewelry, tools, and household objects – all collected by local resident Jone Eftimovski.
It’s a hidden gem that offers a rare look into the rich cultural heritage of the Prespa region. If you're lucky, you might even get a personal tour!
The cache is hidden under the roof of the wooden viewpoint, above the left pillar facing the village. It’s well sheltered from rain and wind, but please handle it carefully and put it back exactly as found.
Be mindful of muggles, especially during the day or weekends when people may visit the area for the view or the church.
