The cache is
located very near a neglected trail in Milford open
space/conservation area. Depending on which way you go, you
might have to deal with a poorly blazed trail, flooding, an
abundance of poison ivy, and/or a dilapidated bridge--hence
the terrain rating, despite being only about 1/4 mile of
walking. I would NOT recommend this for really young children.
Although the signage is dilapidated, park rules include: no
pets, bikes, boats or swimming, open dawn to dusk, etc.)
The coordinates are provided in the cipher encrypted below. Take
the "Coords. Cipher:" part of the hint and use simple letter/number
substitution for the coordinates (A = 0, B = 1, up to J = 9, but
what about the rest?)
The cache is a
small round rubbermaid container (5.5" diam. x 2" deep) and
probably can't be found under deep snow.
Please note in your log if you saw any muskrats or other
interesting wildlife, there's a resident great blue heron, uncommon
winter waterfowl, aside from the mundane swans, canada geese and
mallards.
