The Hucklebush railroad was a 42 mile long rail line that transported people and goods from Rhinecliff to Connecticut. This line lasted from th 1870's till 1930's. An important stop was Red Hook. The Baker Choclate.company and a Borden milk plant use the line to transport its products to Rhinecilff for transfer to NYC via vessels and or trains.
The concrete remanants of the stop can easily be seen from the road. The Choclate Factory building is still in use today, beyond the firehouse and Agway Near the concrete remains of the station, you will look for the catch.
