Geocache Description:

Touch

This is one of 66 caches placed for the 2025 West Bend Cache Ba$h Block Party: Betcha Can’t Find Just One! We use all of our senses while geocaching and we probably use touch the second most after sight.

Fun facts about touch:

  1. Touch is the first sense to develop. In the womb a fetus is thought to experience touch before it can hear, smell, or taste.

  2. The skin is the body’s largest sense organ. Human skin covers a surface area of at least two square meters.

  3. The touch of another human being can reduce stress in adults as well as babies. Research has shown that physical contact with other people can reduce the effect of stress on our bodies.

Braille is a writing system used by blind or visually impaired people. Braille characters are formed using a combination of 6 dots arranged in a 3x2 matrix, called a braille cell. You will need to use braille to solve the combination for the lock. All information needed is provided at the cache.

Roadside parking coordinates provided. Geocache Notification form submitted to the Wisconsin DNR.
