Pershing Field is a haven for everyone in Jersey City Heights. Approximately 13.5 acres of green space, it is adjacent to Jersey City Reservoir No. 3, with which it creates a large open recreational and nature area bounded by Summit Avenue, Central Avenue, and Manhattan Avenue. Besides a running track, baseball fields, playground, tennis and basketball courts, and numerous lawns and gardens, there is a skating rink and pool for public use. This geocache is located among some of the gardens that are tended carefully by the Pershing Field Garden Friends Association. It is a high-traffic area at all times of the day and night so please use caution when hunting for this cache. No need to step in the gardens.
