Granville Island Brewing was Canada’s first licensed micro-brewery opening in 1984 with their initial offering Island Lager. Their Lord Granville Pale Ale was introduced in 1987 and Lions Winter Ale in 2002. They were acquired by Six Pints Collective (the craft arm of Molson Coros Canada) in 2009 and began marketing their beer across Canada. They now offer such delicacies as False Creek Raspberry Ale, Cypress Honey Lager, False Creek Peach Sour and Cermaiza Corn Lager. Tours are available and it is a great stop if you are visiting scenic Granville Island in Vancouver.
