A Reverse Cache (Reverse-Cache-Box) is a type of cache that will inform you about the distance to the final location, but not what is the right direction. You have to move in different directions, to triangulate the locations, find the final coordonates and log the hidden cache using the Reverse Wherigo Cache in only a few attempts as possible.
The idea of the Reverse-Cache started with a wooden box that was displaying only the distance to the final cache, this was a original design by Mikal Hart, an American geocacher.
Then, -Waldmeister-, a german geocacher, had the idea of adapting the principle of Reverse cache as a Wherigo: The first Reverse Cache [WIG]. Thanks to him, we can have this generic cartridge template.
The cache is not at the listed coordinates, but it is close. To find the final local, you have to Play the game:
1. You can start the game anywhere.
2. Download the original Reverse Wherigo cartridge template from Wherigo site, log in with your Geocaching account: link.
3. Load the cartridge in any Wherigo app, for Android the best option is c:geo, the latest versions have a build-in Wherigo player, also you can use Geooh Go, or a 2003 version for WhereYouGo. For iPhone, there is only one option: Wherigo.
4. Open the Wherigo cartridge and enter exactly this 3 codes, one after the other:
860177
418404
862512
5. Start walking in a direction and after a while you will get the distance to the hidden cache.
6. Move to a different direction and find another distance, and so on, until you are very close to the final point and the Wherigo cartridge will give you the final coordinates.
7. ! Stay aware of your environment and watch out for potential hazards like slippery spots, uneven ground, and obstacles in your walking path.
8. When you reach the final, you will receive some statistics. Please copy them, or make a printscren and add it to your log.
9. You will get also a personal password, save it to use it later in the Code generator to build your own Reverse cache with the original Reverse Wherigo cartridge template.
10. Please, do not write any hints in your log about how and where you found the cache. Thanks.
