About Cheddington Station

Cheddington station is in Buckinghamshire, serving the villages of Cheddington, Ivinghoe, and Mentmore. It sits on the West Coast Mainline, about 36 miles northwest of London Euston. Operated by London Northwestern Railway, it offers services to London Euston and Milton Keynes Central.
Historically, Cheddington was a junction for the London & North Western Railway's branch line to Aylesbury, which closed to passengers in 1953 and to freight in 1964. Nearby Bridego Bridge was the site of the infamous Great Train Robbery in 1963.
The station has four platforms, though only 3 and 4 are regularly used. Platforms 1 and 2 are reserved for engineering works or disruptions. The ticket office closed in 2013, making the station unstaffed.
