Where: Schwan Lake, Santa Cruz. Public access to Schwan Lake is via the Simpkins Family Swim Center off of 17th Avenue. Plenty of parking available near the posted coordinates.
With: Your gloves, bags, grabbers, or whatever CITO tools you prefer.
When: 6:30 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Reassemble at the posted coords by 7:15 AM for the team photo, then head out with nearly a full day still ahead of you.
Schwan Lake Park offers easy walking trails through a natural preserve of old oaks and coastal grasslands. It’s a good location for dog-walking, bird watching and scenic views of the lake and bay.
