Geocache Description:

Here are the ruins of Fort St. Frederic. Built and run by the French until the British took over. Destroyed by the French just before a large British force arrived. For today please take some time to learn more of the history as you collect geocache smileys. Of course, prior to these two countries arriving here the Iroguois and Algonquin ruled. The land your standing by the Iroquois. The land across the water by the Algonquin. On one of the signs is a MKH painted with British red (picture above serves as spoiler pic, you see the red? enough said).

This cache is not part of the 2025 NYS Parks Saratoga/Capital District Regional Geocache Challenge.  It has been placed for your geocaching pleasure.  Enjoy!
