This FREE event will take place at STRATACA, where you can explore the mine below and soak in the history that surrounds you. GeoWoodstock XXII is providing FREE of Charge, for you to join a group for a thrilling 90-second elevator ride descending 650 feet ~ 198 meters below the surface. .
Including access to the underground exhibits, the Permian Room, Mining Gallery, and more.
The elevator carries 28 people and descends every 15 minutes starting at 10:00a. You will need to sign up for a scheduled time slot to descend with GeoWoodstock XXII on site. DO NOT CONTACT STRATACA for Event Day Access. It is first come, first serve. However, the wait should be at most 45 minutes, depending on attendance. You will have time to complete the Adventure labs while you await your time.
You will have an opportunity for early scheduling the day before.

You can visit as long as you like and return on the next available elevator.
The event officially ends at 1:30p but the elevator will continue to descend with guests until 3:00p. The last group will return at 5:00p. This is an active mine. You will be sharing the elevator with workers after 3:00p
Two Additional Experiences Available for Additional Cost on Site.
You can extend the experience with a ride on the
Salt Mine Express Train , for an additional cost purchased at the ticket window above before you descend.
Also,
The Dark Ride, a multi-seat cart ride, into the deep reaches of the mine can also be purchased at the ticket window above before you descend.
Both of the extended experiences can only be purchased, on site the day of, after you have scheduled your descent.

Access is FREE to geocachers with your lanyard on Thursday, the day of the event.
From Wednesday to Sunday, geoocachers will get the local Reno County Resident discount rate to the mine with your lanyard. Contact STRATACA for any other day than Thursday.
