This geocache is located outside a former schoolhouse that was converted into a historical museum. The settlement was named for Lemuel C. Stanley, a merchant and railroad man from Chippewa Falls. The main early businesses were a small steam sawmill and some charcoal kilns built in 1887. While you are here, take the opportunity to look around.
