Welcome Centers are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day, but the rest area facilities remain open 24/7/365.

I95 in SC spans roughly 199 miles, and the first section to officially open in 1968 was the portion between Gable and Dillon SC. The Official SC Honorary name of I95 through the entire state is the Blue Star Memorial Highway, as a tribute to US Armed Forces. The SCDOT maintains 3 Welcome Centers along I 95, with modern facilities and friendly, helpful staff, and free wifi - perfect for adding a few new caches to your itinerary.
