(Please read out loud in your best grizzly pirate's voice)
If e'er down Coffeen the Brits should march,
As once they did 'gainst Paul Revere,
A fine spot to watch 'em would surely be
From this piratey Geocache here!
This Crow's Nest stands high with a clear sentry’s view,
Though it ain't what you'd call fancy or grand.
Black steel and sharp angles hint of old scuffles—
Where buccaneers might make a stand.
So hoist up yer courage and shiver yer timbers,
And hunt for the treasure with glee!
Though gold may be scarce in this lofty old perch,
A small prize still waits here for thee.
You'll find a wee spot for baubles and trinkets,
With a logbook and pen tucked inside.
'Tis easier to fill 'er when free from the pillar,
Just pull! 'Cause it's not hard to find!
And if ye be baffled and ready to quit,
Don’t whimper or make a big fuss.
Don't cry like a lubber and run back to mother—
'Cause pirates feel grit is a plus!
One more thing, lads and lasses, take heed of this note:
If ye tumble or take a bad spill,
Don’t come back complainin’ or seekin' a suit—
You climbed up here of your free will!
So sign it and scram, don't linger or loiter--
And don't like a ghost dawdle 'round.
The owner allows caching here with good cheer,
But loiterers: shot and then drowned!
