Geocache Description:

I happened to be on this trail, and I realized WWP - North used to be here. So, of course, I have to revisit the spot even though it had four DNFs and then was archived. I honestly don't remember making the find. But in less than a minute, I had the cache in hand! This container has been in service for over a decade, and looks perfect! I would have loved to leave it in its spot, but that was a rock wall, which is forbidden. It's now in a much less potentially destructive area (although that wall was not harmed in any way). Unfortunately, the spot is more vulnerable, but I suspect not many muggles come this way. I put the trail on OSM maps, so that should be a little easier, but the trailhead is overgrown. Once on the trail, it isn't bad at all.

As for the history, Old Hill Avenue in White Plains is a historic footpath, originally an Indian trail, later used by settlers. It's currently a pathway that leads to Hall Avenue, which is believed to have been the location of the headquarters of General William Heath during the Revolution. The area is rich in Revolutionary War history, including the Battle of White Plains and the earthworks on Mount Misery, also known as Hatfield Hill. More information can be found here.
