There are places within the Quincy Lake Recreation Area which has many camping areas and great fishing opportunities. Needless to say, some people just do not take pride to clean up after themselves. They do not know what it means to "PACK IT OUT".
Parking in the Quincy Lakes Area does require vehicles to have a Discover Pass or a WDFW Vehicle Access Permit. However, at the CITO cache page is outside of the WDFW Quincy Lakes area. No permits are needed there. If you do not have a permit, I suggest you to carpool with someone who does have a permit.
I will be checking with the WDFW Reginal 2 office to see if I can get a wavier for those who wish to participate with this CITO event. I will also pick up trash bags and make arrangements for disposal of collected litter and trash.
Remember this is a wildlife area and there could be the possibility of encountering different species of wildlife to include that of snakes. Be alert and do not poke hands or fingers in places where snakes may be inhabited. Use a stick or a grabber to reach these types of places.
Dress accordingly and there will be drinking water on site. Gloves and sturdy footwear is a must.
