Geocache Description:

The Poet of Ronda

Don José María León Cordón, the Poet of Ronda, is a resident of the San Cristóbal neighborhood who has dedicated his entire life to praising his city in verse. A town crier for Carnival and Holy Week, he has also preached for all the brotherhoods. He has written books of poetry and composed the verses for most of the Carnival groups during the 1980s. In recent years, he has dedicated himself to announcing the festivities that took place in the city on these dates from his balcony. The mosaic on the wall commemorates these actions.

The mosaic is located in the "Vicente Espinel" neighborhood association, a gathering and leisure space for all the residents of the San Cristóbal neighborhood of Ronda.

This is my first hidden treasure, so I felt obliged to dedicate it to Don José María León, the Poet of Ronda.
