Montana Council - MVD - Cache To Eagle #5 "COURTEOUS"

 

This is the 5th Geocache in the “Cache to Eagle” series which highlights Eagle Scout Service Projects by the Scouting America of the Mountain Valley District, Montana Council. This cache is in Bozeman, MT which is home to three troops. This Eagle Project was completed by Troop 619. The cache is placed with this Eagle Scout's permission.

 

What is "Cache to Eagle"?

Cache to Eagle has been rolled out nationwide and was a part of the 100th Anniversary "Get in the Game!" activities.When Cache to Eagle was posted on the internet, other geocaching enthusiasts read about Eagle service projects and go visit them in person.This is a great way to let people know how much service Scouts provide to the community. If you are a Scout and "Cache to Eagle" series has not been placed in your district yet, be the first one to set it up!! 12 caches per district in every council across the nation - just visualize THAT!

 

What is Eagle Service Project

The Eagle Scout Service Project, also known as the Eagle Project, is a requirement for Scouts to earn the Eagle Scout rank. It's a chance for Scouts to demonstrate leadership skills, learn project management, and help their community:

Leadership development is also one of Scoutings eight methods contributing to both good character and good citizenship.

 

 

About Troop 619 in Bozeman, Montana

Troop 619 is Bozeman’s first all-girl Scouts troop. Troop 619 is chartered by Bozeman United Methodist Church. The Troop was made official on February 1, 2019.

You are welcome to post of a picture of the log sheet without the container instead. Pictures with a container may be deleted without notice.
