The new BRT line has shortened my commute to/from the East suburbs. So I'm using some of that free time to hide a few transit-oriented caches. I'm aiming for hides that are about 5 minutes of walking from the Gold line bus. If you make a quick grab you can be back on the bus 20 minutes after you got off at that stop. Since I'm on the bus, my only knowledge of nearby legal parking is to note that there is a park and ride for this stop.
This hide should be a relatively easy grab for someone who has made a find in this style before. (I know at least one other hide of this style in St Paul).
Stay on the sidewalk; there is no need to enter the roadway or get onto the grass.
Only room for a log in the cache BYOP. 1 ride transit ticket as an FTF prize next to the cache in the beacon. Congrats to Guardrail10 on the FTF!
Finds not matching the log sheet may be deleted without warning.
Accessibility notes for Cachers with disabilities: this cache may require some reaching/bending ( additional information about the height of this reaching is in the spoiler). You do not need to leave the hard surfaces of the sidewalk to seek this cache. The sidewalk has curb cuts approaching the GZ from all sides of the intersection. I'm marking this as wheelchair accessible, caveat that winter may inhibit wheelchair travel to the GZ. I'm unsure if there is consistently enough snow clearance to make the sidewalk navigable for mobility device users throughout the winter.
