Greetings Geo-Agent,
It has been a while since our last contact and we trust this transmission finds you well.
Despite the inability of your government to cooperate with ours, for the last year the M.I.B. have managed to station one of our best and brightest agents in the South Glengarry area. Agent Richard Merkin believed he was closing in on the "Jigsaw" copy-cat when we suddenly lost contact with him.
It seems that he may have chosen to Hitch-Hike.
Merkin's car broke down in bad weather and before he was able to call for assistance he was offered help by a stranger at the side of the road and has since vanished.
We would appreciate your invaluable assistance in recovering our Agent.
While we do believe his disappearance is related to the Jigsaw case, we have evidence which suggests that more than one suspect may be involved. This could possibly be linked to the "Lanterne of Light" Cult also known to be operating in the region.
If you choose to accept this assignment you will first be required to complete necessary safety training. Make yourself familiar with the previous case-studies listed below. If you come into contact with a suspicious person seeking or offering a ride you need to be prepared for all possible scenarios.
