This cache is just over the hedge from Bustardthorpe allotments, one of a number of allotment sites in York. Across the footpath, a new copse of trees has been planted which will soon make this feel like a woodland walk. This is a boggier area, and in the spring and early summer cowslips, elderflower, and field buttercups help to brighten up this slightly less well-beloved part of the Knavesmire.
There's also a nearby bench with a panoramic view of the whole area. Why didn't I hide the cache there? Because I didn't think of it! Congratulations to Rowse59 for the FTF!
