Since the headquarter of our hobby in honour of the 25th anniversary of Geocaching has decided to allow an events in Europe under the code name Block Party, then... a decision has been made to organize it in Riga as well, so that as many geocachers from Latvia and the nearest countries can come to the event.
The event program will last at least six hours and will consist of two parts.
1. Geocaching. A program with geocaching elements in Old Riga will be prepared for both local and foreign guests. The nuances remain a secret for now and are being clarified, but with a guarantee - it will be interesting. The Keton Cup (game with rules pretty close to Scavenger Hunt), beloved among geocachers, will be held as part of the event with great enthusiasm and new ideas, with an award ceremony at the end of the event.
2. Entertainment. This section will more closely correspond to the "Party". After a busy afternoon in the Old Town, it's time for some rest and entertainment. Without going into details, I'll mention the currently planned activities: social gatherings and conversations, DJ performances for all musical tastes, live music, a quiz with Geocaching elements, various entertainment performances from both artists from outside and the geocachers themselves, of course, also various awards, a lottery and other... Finally, karaoke and other fun.
The description of the event will be regularly improved, supplemented and clarified, as well as made more readable for geocachers from neighbour countries. As required by the rules, and the main thing to obtain this event status we need to collect 300 Will Attends. Therefore, I invite everyone who wants to attend an event with such an icon in Riga to register their desire to participate and invite their closest known and unknown geocachers to do the same. In other words, to spread the word among those who might be interested in attending such an event.

Tā kā mūsu hobija galvenā mītne šogad par godu slēpņošanas 25 gadu jubilejai ir nolēmusi atļaut arī Eiropā organizēt pasākumu zem kodētā nosaukuma Block Party, tad... ir pieņemts lēmums to rīkot arī Rīgā, lai uz pasākumu varētu ierasties iespējami daudz slēpņotāji no Latvijas un tuvākajām pierobežas valstīm.
Pasākuma programma ilgs vismaz sešas stundas un sastāvēs no divām daļām.
1. Slēpņošana. Gan vietējiem, gan arī ārzemju viesiem būs sagatavota programma ar slēpņošanas elementiem Vecrīgā. Nianses pagaidām paliek noslēpumā un tiek precizētas, bet ar garantiju - būs interesanti. Kā galveno āķīti varu izmest to, ka pasākuma ietvaros ar lielu entuziasmu un jaunām idejām norisināsies slēpņotāju vidū iemīļotais Ketonu Kauss ar apbalvošanu pasākuma noslēgumā.
2. Izklaide. Šis posms vairāk atbildīs slēpņa nosaukuma sadaļai "Party" vārda tiešākajā nozīmē. Pēc piepildītās pēcpusdienas vecpilsētā, pienākas atpūta un izklaide. Neieslīgstot detaļās, minēšu patreiz plānotās aktivitātes: saviesīga pasēdēšana un sarunas, dj performances visām muzikālajām gaumēm, dzīvā mūzika, viktorīna, dažādi izklaides priekšnesumi gan no māksliniekiem no malas, gan arī pašiem slēpņotājiem, protams, arī dažāda veida apbalvošana, loterija un citas suminācijas. Noslēgumā karaoke un pārējās jautrības.
Slēpņa apraksts tiks regulāri pilnveidots, papildināts un precizēts, kā arī padarīts lasāmāks kaimiņvalstu slēpņotājiem. Dotajā mirklī tas tiek publicēts laicīgi, kā to noteikumi prasa un galvenā lieta, lai iegūtu šo slēpņa statusu ir nepieciešamo Will Attend skaits. Un tas ir 300. Tādēļ aicinu visus, kuri vēlas Rīgā apmeklēt pasākumu ar šādu ikonu, reģistrēt savu vēlmi piedalīties un aicināt to darīt arī tuvākos zināmos un nezināmos slēpņotājus.
