located in the back-end of willey marsh
our dog, sparkey (r.i.p.) absolutely loved it here. we could take off her leash and she'd run rampant up and down the trails with reckless abandon. this was like her own amusement park..disneyland, sea world, mgm, universal, six flags, etc. all in one. that's how the name 'sparkeyland' evolved.
cache is off the trail on the backside of willey marsh. 'hiding day' meant wearing gaiters and using trekking poles, but i left the snowshoes in the car!
the trail is really hardpacked and easily followed without too much trouble. i would imagine the spring will yield the trail being shaped like a long pyramid, wide on the bottom, and peaked on top, much like the trails in the high peaks.'postholing' might prove to be a problem, but hey! it's only the second day of winter!!
original contents include a photo frame, oreo toy, american flag pin, a rubber butterfly, a pocket knife, a wire holder and a bunny stamp.
pack a lunch, take a friend, lover or mate, take your time and 'take a hike!'
