The River
The Bow River is a spectacular water resource that meanders through the city of Calgary. If you've never seen it, then you've probably have never been to Calgary.
The Wildlife - Bald Eagle
The Bow is home to many wild species and if you are lucky you may see a "Bald Eagle".
"When an eagle appears, you are on notice to be courageous and stretch your limits. Do not accept the status quo, but rather reach higher and become more than you believe you are capable of. Look at things from a new, higher perspective. Be patient with the present; know that the future holds possibilities that you may not yet be able to see. You are about to take flight." How's that for some inspiration.

Some interesting facts about these amazing creatures:
- They can reach altitudes over 10,000 Feet / 3000 M+
-
Their eyesight is 8x stronger than humans - 20/40 or 20/50 vision, making them expert hunters. They can they spot a small animal two miles away!
-
They aren’t actually bald
-
Their grip strength is a crushing 400 psi - 10 times a human!
-
They mate for life
-
Their biggest threat? ..... humans
The Cache
Retrieving the cache will require some logistics. A boat down the river is the preferred method as there's not a suitable location to land your helicopter. A small amount of bushwacking to get to the tree and there you must use your "Eagle" eyes
(get it).
Please return as found.
Safety Blurb - borrowed from a neighouring cache - thank you HuntHikers for this
Please note that any attempt to reach the cache by foot is not recommended as the terrain may be difficult and the water crossing may be dangerous (especially in the winter). Travel by boat is the recommended route, but be sure to use an appropriate craft for the conditions that can handle Class I to II rapids, be aware of current flowrates and water advisories, come equipped with required saftey equipment (life jacket, 15 m of heaving line, bailer, sound signalling device, waterproof flashlight and SOS mirror) and familairize yourself with your pull-out location. Cell signal is spotty along the river, so ensure you have arranged a pickup time at the pull-out location or have a parked vechicle waiting for you.
