Oh. You made it.
To the dead end.
The concrete is cracked. The air smells like wet regret.
And the reeds are whispering your secrets.
Perfect. You’re in the right place.
If you’ve found this shattered chunk of busted concrete at the end of a waterway so forgotten that even Google Maps shrugged and gave up—congratulations.
Buried (loosely stuffed) in this glorious heap of a broken concrete dock and probable tetanus lies the resting place and final hoard of Captain Lady Hissybottom, Possum Queen of the Southern Swamp and Supreme Commander of the rusted battle-cart, the SS Squeaky Wheels — a once-noble shopping cart “liberated” from Walmart, bedazzled with glitter and moss, and outfitted with questionable motor made from a stolen weed whacker fueled by Mountain Dew fumes and spite.
Accompanied by her first mates—a trio of raccoons known only as Soggy Jerry, Rabies Steve, and Craig (don’t ask), Captain Lady Hissybottom ruled these mosquito-infested backwaters with a bedazzled claw, and a blood-curdling shriek.
But all reigns must end.
During one foggy Thursday evening fueled by expired moonshine and poor decisions, the SS Squeaky Wheels slammed into this exact crumbling dock at full speed while trying to outrun a very upset park ranger. Captain Lady Hissybottom yelled “YOU’LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE, GOVERNMENT” and bailed overboard with her most precious relic: a haunted Pez dispenser that smells like regret, and that whispers secrets from 1998.
Now, the cache lies hidden among the ruins of her demise, nestled where the tide whispers secrets and mosquitoes commit war crimes around you. Inside you may find trinkets left behind by those brave (or stupid) enough to seek her hoard. But heed this warning: DO NOT touch the Pez dispenser unless you’re okay with legally binding spiritual contracts.
📜 Now it’s your turn.
- Take a trinket.
- Leave a tribute (bonus if it is something equally weird, cursed, or mildly confusing.)
- Sign the log and leave a message for the next fool who wanders in.
- Whisper “Long live the Hiss” into the reeds. She likes that.
- And Always, always respect the marsh.
You’ve now earned your place in marsh legend.
But also, possibly rabies.
🛒🐾 Long may she hiss.
PS: If you hear scratching behind you, don’t worry. That’s just Craig. He’s still down here. Watching. Always watching.
