Pentalan saari sijaitsee Suvisaariston lounaispuolella lähellä Kirkkonummen rajaa. 130 hehtaarin kokoinen saari on Espoon suurimpia saaria, jonka erikoisuutena on Espoon eteläisin järvi pienine saarineen. Rannoilla on runsaasti loma-asuntoja, mutta sisäosat ovat pääosin luonnonsuojelualuetta. Pentalassa on 2,3 km luontopolkua. Saaren koillisrannalla sijaitseva Espoon kaupunginmuseon Saaristomuseo Pentala muodostuu hyvin säilyneestä, valtakunnallisesti merkittävästä kalastaja- ja huvilamiljööstä. Museo avattiin vuonna 2018, jolloin myös yhteysalus aloitti liikennöinnin saareen.

Pentala Island is located southwest of Suvisaaristo, near the border of Kirkkonummi. The 130-hectare island is one of the largest islands in Espoo, with the special feature of being the southernmost lake in Espoo with its small islands. There are many holiday homes on the shores, but the inner parts are mainly a nature reserve. Pentala has 2.3 km of nature trails. The Espoo City Museum's Archipelago Museum Pentala, located on the north-eastern shore of the island, consists of a well-preserved, nationally significant fishermen's and villa complex. The museum was opened in 2018, when a connecting boat started operating to the island.
Kätkö - The cache
Pelaa saman niminen adventure lab, niin saat tietoja bonuskätköstä! Kätkö on luonnonsuojelualueella Pentalassa. Kätkölle on maanomistajan lupa ja siitä on myös ilmoitettu Metsähallitukselle.
Bogus on Lilla Villanissa, jossa ei tietenkään ole kätköä. Mutta se toimii museokävijöiden ja retkeilijöiden tauko- ja eväidensyöntitilana kesäisin. Lilla Villan -huvila on rakennettu pihapiiriin kesävieraiden käyttöön vuonna 1936. Se on ollut kesävuokralaisten käytössä.

Ole tarkkana luonnossa, Pentalassa on tavattu kyykäärmeitä ja punkkeja.
Yöpyminen, telttailu, tulenteko tai tupakointi ei ole sallittua Espoon kaupungin alueella.
Pääosa Pentalan rannoista on yksityisomistuksessa. Vapaa pääsy merenrantaan on museoalueelta ja Diksandin hiekkarannasta.
Diksandin hiekkarantaan rantautuminen moottorialuksella ei ole sallittua. Ranta kuuluu luonnonsuojelualueeseen.
Pidäthän saaristoluonnon siistinä! Luontopolun varrella ei ole jäteastioita. Vie tuomasi roskat mukanasi mantereelle.
Pentalan saarella ei ole uimarantoja eikä valvontaa, mutta Diksandin rannalla ja Pentalanjärven koillispäässä on mahdollista uida. Pentalanjärven rantakalliot ovat jyrkkiä ja liukkaita - olethan varovainen.

Adders and ticks have been spotted on Pentala Island.
Spending the night, camping, building a fire or smoking are not allowed in the city’s recreation area.
The majority of the shoresre privately owned. The seashore is only accessible from the museum area and the Diksand beach.
Landing a motor ship at the natural beach of Diksand is prohibited. The beach is a part of the nature conservation area.
Please keep the archipelago clean! The nature trail is not equipped with rubbish bins.
Pentala Island has no beaches for swimming, or supervised beaches. However, swimming is possible on the Diksand beach and the northeastern part of Lake Pentalanjärvi. Please be careful, as the rocky shores of Lake Pentalanjärvi are steep and slippery. The nature conservation area and paths of Pentala Island are the responsibility of the Environment Department of the City of Espoo.
