This series is Geoart and the geocaches are not at the posted locations. To complete the entire Geoart, you will need to note the following:
- The 26 Letterboxes have a lettered stamp in them (A through Z). Make note of the letter and corresponding GC code as you will need this information for some of the puzzles.
- 26 of the brown screwtop (BST) containers have clues written inside the caps (e.g. A=#). Make note of the clues as you will need this information for some of the puzzles.
- You will very likely need to make a few trips to complete the whole Geoart.
- There is a wide variety of cache sizes/container/hide types – hopefully you will have fun with the series!
- Please don’t hide any new caches to conflict with the Geoart.
The final locations are on Forest Service Roads (FSRs) in a remote area. Please note the following:
- You will require a decent vehicle with high clearance and good tires.
- Some spurs have deep cross ditches, so not all vehicles can make it through.
- Some spurs require hiking and are not accessible by vehicle.
- All caches are relatively near a road. Extensive bushwhacking is not normally required.
- Cell coverage is only available in a few spots, so don’t rely on it.
- The upper elevations have snow into May so be aware of this and don’t get stuck like the two idiots we helped dig out.
- Watch for wildlife including bears.
- This series is not meant to be powertrail. If you can’t find a cache, please post a DNF and do not throw down a replacement.
- If the logsheet is damp and you have the supplies, please feel free to change the logsheet and make a note of this in your log.
Please remember that this is back country travel. Let someone know where you are going and Be Prepared with essentials (First Aid kit, flashlights, blankets, extra clothing, fire making supplies, food and water, satellite communicator, gloves, shovel, spare tire, jack, portable air compressor, recovery kit, etc.)
Happy caching from the Anvil Explorers!
