This cache is placed in the heart of what was once the Boconnoc Park Sheep Station which was on the west slopes of the Clare Valley.
Mr and Mrs John Carter were here farming Merino Sheep from 1859 and the Carter Family sold to George Brooks in 1905.
The old Homestead can be seen from the nearby Brooks Lookout.
Several thousand acres of cropping and award winning Merino Sheep have come through here.
