Cameo Island
This is a simple traditional cache for those who visit this interesting place.
After the famous Navagio Beach in the north of Zakynthos, the second most photographed place on the island is the small island of Cameo, just a few meters off the coast of Laganas.
The small rocky cliff separated from the main island of Zakynthos in 1633 during a strong earthquake and today attracts the attention of tourists. Across the 80-metre wooden bridge, you can walk to Cameo Island from the centre of Laganas in 15 minutes. The rocks of Cameo Island are covered with rich greenery, you will find a small bay with a beach and crystal clear water ideal for snorkeling.
There is also a popular bar on the island, open from morning until midnight.
Cameo Island is privately owned and there is an entrance fee.
