The Great Victorian Cache Crawl is a series of events to celebrate International Geocaching Day. The events are in multiple locations across the state and aim to provide opportunities for cachers to locate a nearby event to join in the celebrations. In 2025, the cache crawl begins in Tooradin on Friday night, before touring east through Gippsland on International Geocaching Day (Saturday) and arriving in Bairnsdale for an optional overnight stay, The fun spills over into Sunday starting in Paynesville just to the south and journeying west along a different route, ultimately ending with a final event in Warragul.
Specific details for this event are as follows:
Date: 17 August 2025
Where: Mathison Park, Churchill
Time: 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Join us at the beautiful Mathison Park, which includes Lake Hyland, to give back to the Gippsland community. We will be helping the local Mathison Park Advisor Committee with a little gardening, tree planting and general tidying up of the area (more details to follow via an Announcement closer to the date). Parking for this Event is just off Mackeys Way and we'll meet at the BBQ Shelter. BYO drinks as the shops are further into Churchill and not that close by.
This CITO is a participatory event. Don't forget to include the number of attendees in your will attend eg @2@.
