Welcome to another church micro in the popular national series, here you can visit the picturesque Kilmonivaig Parish Church. Spean Bridge is perhaps most famous for the Commando Memorial which is located not far from the church, but many miss this church tucked away just off the main road.

The name Kilmonivaig comes from kil (cille) meaning church or cell, mo meaning saint or holy and Nivaig (Naomhag), the sixth-century abbot of Lismore who established a church near Gairlochy. A more permanent and later building on that site was liable to be flooded and collapsed in the 1770s. The present church was built around 1812 and the chancel area was added in the 1920s. The stained glass window is the official war memorial for the parish of Kilmonivaig.
Inside the church you can see the Kilmonivaig Stone. This medieval stone grave slab (ca. 1300 - 1500) is a fine example of the Iona school of carving, and was brought up from the site of the old church, by the river at Kilmonivaig. It depicts cross-weave, a Highland galley, two lions and vine scrolls.

Kilmonivaig was a medieval parish and a parish for both civil and religious purposes from the sixteenth century until 1975. The boundaries of the civil parish were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891. Kilmonivaig is about 60 miles from north to south and 20 miles at its greatest breadth. It includes part of Brae Lochaber with the parish church being situated in Spean Bridge.
To find the final container you need to visit the listed coordinates where you will find a plaque on the wall.
There are two sets of dates on the plaque. Let the first set be ABCD - EFGH and let the second set of dates be PQRS - TWXY
The final container is located closeby at N 56° YD.GCS W 004° YG.PS(Q-W)
Your help in ensuring the container is securely hidden and you are not observed by muggles is much appreciated, as this is a fairly remote place. Thank you for your help and understanding.
