This easy letterbox is not at the posted coordinates. To find it, you'll need to take a short stroll through the Kelley Park Disc Golf Course. You will not need to leave the trail except for a few steps at the final. This letterbox is best done while walking the trail in a counter-clockwise direction from the recommended trailhead. (See waypoints.)
Let's get started!
- At the starting coordinates, you will see two very large green signposts. These are new since many of you were here in 2023!
- Answer the following questions from the letters on the sign:
- A = How many “L”s appear in both signs?
- B = How many letters appear on the left sign? Subtract 1 from this number.
- C = How many letters appear on the right sign?
- Continue walking northwest on the trail (counterclockwise) until your device says you are ABC feet away from the posted coordinates.
Hint: As you're approaching the final coordinates, keep an eye on the trees to your left (the disc golf side). These are all black walnut trees. If you get to an oak tree, you've gone too far! Turn around and head back to the next black walnut. That's where you'll find the cache.
You're looking for a regular-sized snaplock container with a "letterbox" inside. When you find the cache, feel free to use the stamp but please leave it in the cache.
This cache is located on the trail around the disc golf course in Kelley Park. Please stay on the trail and do not walk through the disc golf course. Kelley Park hours are 8 a.m. to half-hour after sunset. Dogs are allowed on leash.
