Geocache Description:

Welcome to your next roadside adventure! This geocache is tucked away near a rest area off I-70, where weary travelers can stretch their legs, breathe in some fresh Colorado air, and take a walk around two lovely ponds.

But this isn’t just any old cache—it’s a tiny treasure chest of painted rocks, each one inspired by a place worth exploring. You’ll find miniature depictions of deserts, mountains, canyons, and oceans—all hand-painted to stir your imagination and maybe even spark your next trip.

Feel free to trade a painted rock if you have one, or just take a moment to appreciate the tiny landscapes before you move on. Bring the kids, your camera, or your curiosity—this stop has more than meets the eye.

While you're here:

  • Take the walking path around both ponds.

  • Try your luck with fishing at the larger pond (it’s stocked!).

  • Listen for the bullfrogs—they put on quite the concert during warm months.

Please rehide the cache well and make sure it's snug in its spot before you go. This place might be a pit stop for some, but with a little exploring, it’s also a reminder that adventure is never far from the road.

Happy caching!
