Geocache Description:

It's time to celebrate the official start to summer!

June 20, 2025 was the summer solstice, when Wisconsin will enjoy the longest day of the year. Here at the center of the northern hemisphere of our planet (the 45°N – 90°W point is located in Central Wisconsin in the Town of Rietbrock, Marathon County) the day will reach exactly 15 hours 30 minutes long!

This event will take place at The Tap Yard at Minooka Park. There will be refreshments available to purchase as well as food trucks. However, no purchase is necessary to attend.

Please be aware that Minooka is a Waukesha County Park and a daily fee is required to enter Minooka. If you do not want to pay that fee, find someone to carpool with or park outside of the park and walk in!

Those attending will earn the Summer Solstice souvenir!
