I volunteered to help hide a couple of caches for the event on June 7 at the Creemee stand in Wilmington. I researched some public trails in Wilmington and found one of the entrances to the Hoot Toot & Whistle Trail (HTW). Near the beginning of the trail I noticed a collection of huge tree trunks which were cut down some time ago and arranged in a nice row; a few other natural objects were added to the arrangement so it almost reminded me of artwork. I added a small bit to it which included a small cache and some artistic camo.
The cache is a small dark cylinder, big enough for only tiny trackables. BYOP. I chose the parking location at a point where the shoulders are wide, just before the small drive forks off leading to the trailhead and private house just beyond. The trailhead is well marked with a sign and a blue arrow.
