Geocache Description:

FortWhyte Alive's new visitor centre, named in honour of Paul Albrechtsen and referred to as Buffalo Crossing, is an 18,000 square foot multi-purpose building that officially opened to visitors on April 23, 2025. Built to meet the highest global energy standards, the centre is Manitoba's first commercial building certified to both the Passive House and Zero Carbon building standards. Equally important is the new extended Winnipeg Transit bus route along McGillivray Boulevard that loops into the centre, allowing more accessibility for people wanting to visit FortWhyte.
