Solebury Township ranks only below Philadelphia Pittsburg, Harrisburg and Lancaster for number of historic districts . Solebury Township has six historic districts, including the Phillips' Mill Historic District and the Carversville Historic District. These districts preserve the historic settlement pattern of the area, which evolved in its own way and maintains a distinct character.

The Solebury Historic Society is headquartered in the historic one-room schoolhouse. It contains an extensive research library, files on the history of most of the homes built before 1900 in Solebury, partial township school records from before 1938 including grades and attendance, a large historic map of the township, many smaller maps, and much more.
The Society renovated the schoolhouse,. The schoolhouse is open for research by appointment only. We’re flexible on hours and times for appointments. Although, a sign on the door says hours are Wednesdays 10-12:00.
